Together, SAPP's hardware expertise and Tiliter's software, already deployed across Woolworths stores in Australia for ecommerce, AI powered price checking and Scan and Go, are set to bring the technology to a global audience.
Tiliter's AI technology changes the way retailers handle non barcoded items such as loose fruit and vegetables, baked goods, nuts and confectionery, improving checkout efficiency. By recognising subtle differences between similar products, such as varieties of the same fruit or baked goods, Tiliter's AI offers high accuracy across many product categories. Tiliter reports a 90 percent reduction in checkout time for shoppers and 35 percent for cashiers.
Tiliter's AI also helps retailers prevent fraud, reduce shrinkage and improve operational efficiency. By identifying when barcoded items are presented as loose produce, it protects transaction accuracy and prevents revenue loss. Tiliter reports a 60 percent reduction in fresh produce loss and an 85 percent reduction in fraud.
